President's Message

Welcome to the ADR/Maryland website! When you scroll through our website, I think you will quickly recognize what makes us unique is the composition of our membership. Our Neutrals are specially selected leaders in their respective areas of practice whose depth of experience make them experts in the resolution of complex civil cases.

In addition to the traditional mediation and arbitration services offered by other groups, ADR/Maryland’s Neutrals provide individual case and issue evaluation to assist you in the trial or settlement of your case. We work with our clients to develop effective trial and appellate strategies when their cases are not appropriate for early resolution. Our roster includes Maryland’s most distinguished trial and appellate lawyers in a wide variety of areas of civil practice with the background to help you resolve the most difficult cases in state or federal courts.

I invite you to consult this website whenever you are in need of our ADR services and to recommend it to others who may be searching for such assistance with their cases. I am confident that you will receive prompt and efficient help from any one of our members. Please take a look at our biographies and select an experienced Neutral who is knowledgeable in your desired subject matter area.

Complex Dispute Resolution:
Experience Counts

Experience counts in resolving complex legal disputes though mediation, arbitration, or other ADR techniques. The widely respected neutrals of ADR Maryland not only have the experience, but also the credibility and training to get the job done.

All ADR Maryland neutrals are Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorneys, including more than a dozen Presidents of Maryland statewide or local bar associations, more than fifteen Fellowships in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates or the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and over twenty listings in Best Lawyers in America, Maryland/D.C. Superlawyers, or Who’s Who. ADR Maryland’s panel also includes Inner Circle of Advocates members, national defense coordinating counsel, a former U.S. Attorney, former members of the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland, a former member of the General Assembly of Maryland, and appointees to innumerable federal, state and county judicial and executive branch commissions and committees dealing with a broad array of matters of public interest. All of our neutrals are trained, skilled and experienced in alternative dispute resolution techniques and practices.

Our members have extensive litigation practice and courtroom experience. Courtroom experience is essential to understanding and analyzing complex issues to effectively assist parties in resolving the serious matters that divide them. Our neutrals understand the risks and rewards of high stakes litigation, the business considerations of protracted legal battles, the potential effects of pattern litigation, the pros and cons of drawing lines in the sand, the problems of difficult clients or adversaries, the involvement of experts, unpredictable judges and juries, and the other challenges in the modern courtroom arena. The members have walked in the same shoes as the lawyers and litigants who may call upon ADR Maryland. They are uniquely qualified to provide insightful, effective, and efficient resolution of significant disputes.

Put the experience of ADR Maryland neutrals to work for you.
